Fixed blade Knife Kizlyar U-5 10.9cm 011461
Hunting and Outdoor knife Kizlyar U-5 with 10,9 cm blade. A traditional, Scandinavian / northern Russian hunting and utility knife. The blade is shaped specifically for wood work and cutting small game / fish. An improvement over the older, more traditional knives, the model U-5 knife has a screwed-on pommel with a lanyard hole allowing a leather strap to be attached ensuring safe retention of the knife when working near water. It can also be tightened to compress the leather washer handle if the leather should shrink, preventing the handle coming loose. The handle is made from compressed, oil soaked leather washers and is compressed onto the knife tang, topped off with the threaded pommel. The fittings, of which include the pommel and cross-guard are of 40x13 Russian stainless steel for added protection against staining and / or rust. The sheath is made from heavy hand stitched leather and features a belt hanger and a flap for positive and secure retention of the knife while sheathed.
