En 1911, Valentin Tramontina arrive dans la ville de Carlos Barbosa (État de Rio Grande do Sul-RS) avec l'idée de créer sa propre entreprise. De ses mains, descendant d'Italiens, né à Santa Barbara (RS), Tramontina est forgée dans une fonderie : un petit atelier installé sur un terrain loué. Après avoir effectué le service militaire obligatoire, Valentin reprend ses activités et investit dans l'avenir en transférant l'entreprise dans des locaux plus grands. C'était il y a plus de 100 ans. Aujourd'hui, Tramontina produit plus de 17 mille articles. La variété et la diversité du portefeuille laissent de la place pour que la marque soit présente dans plusieurs segments et exporte vers plus de 120 pays.
