Il Leuku è un coltello tradizionale lappone (Sami). È più grande e largo del puukko finlandese, poiché veniva storicamente utilizzato per i lavori domestici nella tundra. Per questo motivo, è anche chiamato coltello da "campo" o da "tundra". La lama di un Leuku largo ha solitamente una lunghezza compresa tra 20 e 40 cm e uno spessore del calcio tra 3 e 7 mm. Il manico dei coltelli lapponi è ampio e largo, per poterlo tenere comodamente in manopole o guanti quando fa freddo.

Il Leuku può essere utilizzato come coltello da outdoor, da caccia o da bushcraft. Con il suo aiuto, è possibile tagliare la selvaggina di piccola taglia durante una battuta di caccia, preparare i rami per un falò durante un'escursione o utilizzarlo come attrezzo ausiliario.
