Kupilka es una reconocida marca finlandesa que crea vajillas y accesorios para senderismo, camping y actividades al aire libre. La palabra Kupilka significa "pequeño cuenco" en la antigua lengua de los pueblos del norte.

La inspiración para la creación de esta línea de vajillas especiales fue la taza Harakkakuppi, tallada en 1775 por el maestro Kuisma para degustar bebidas alcohólicas. En 2003, la diseñadora industrial Heikki Koivurova y un descendiente del maestro Kuisma presentaron el producto Kupilka 21: una taza inspirada en el diseño de Harakkakuppi, pero fabricada con un material especial.

La vajilla Kupilka está fabricada con un material único: un compuesto natural de fibra de madera y termoplástico. Está compuesta por un 50 % de madera procedente de bosques finlandeses, certificada según el estándar PEFC, y un 50 % de un polímero seguro que le confiere resistencia. Gracias a esto, los productos conservan la textura de la madera, pero son resistentes a la humedad, no absorben olores, no se agrietan y soportan temperaturas de -30 °C a +100 °C.

Otra característica distintiva de la vajilla Kupilka es que todos sus productos se fabrican en Finlandia utilizando 100 % energía verde: eólica y solar. Todos los productos son reciclables y el embalaje está fabricado con materiales reciclados. Actualmente, la gama Kupilka incluye tazas de diferentes colores y tamaños, juegos de camping (platos, cuencos y cubiertos), colecciones coleccionables, como tazas con personajes de los Mumin o juegos de regalo en cajas de madera.

Los productos Kupilka están aprobados para su uso en la industria alimentaria y son seguros para usar con platos fríos y calientes.
