Fondée à Guangzhou au début des années 2010, l'entreprise a misé dès ses débuts sur une technologie de haute précision, des matériaux de qualité et une collaboration avec des designers indépendants. Grâce à cela, Kizer est devenu un concurrent sérieux des marques occidentales. Kizer est l'une des rares marques chinoises à utiliser des roulements à billes dans l'unité axiale de la quasi-totalité de ses modèles, garantissant une ouverture fluide et rapide. L'entreprise mise également sur l'ergonomie et l'équilibre, et l'assemblage des couteaux est quasi irréprochable, même pour les modèles d'entrée de gamme.

Kizer produit des couteaux pliants, fixes et multifonctions, mais les séries suivantes sont les plus célèbres : Sheepdog – conçu par Chris Conaway. Lame compacte en acier 154CM ; Gemini – manche en titane et lame en CPM-S35VN, finaliste du prix KnifeNews ; KI423 – modèle avec manche en titane et lame en S35VN.
