The knife's relatively compact dimensions emphasize the unmatched sturdiness of the D2 full-tang construction. Ergonomic handle scales milled from Micarta as well as deep thumb jimpings offer an excellent grip, while the red fiber layer creates an appealing visual contrast to the massive blade spine. The hollow grind of the stonewash creates a balanced cutting profile despite the unusual size. The fitted Kydex sheath can be attached to the enclosed belt adapter for several carry variations. Boker Daily Knives AK1 fixed, developed in cooperation with the young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, is a versatile small everyday knife that can be perfectly adapted to your own needs. The AK1 he designed is equipped with a short drop point blade 76 mm made of powder metallurgical RWL 34, a high-performance stainless steel which is ice-hardened to 61 to 62 HRC. The ergonomically shaped and comfortable handle scales are made of durable burlap micarta. They can be easily dismantled using the Torx key supplied and can be replaced by a wide range of alternative scales developed and produced in conjunction with Daily Customs. In addition, the intricately manufactured lanyard hole at the end of the handle can be turned around when the handle scales are dismantled so that it disappears into the handle. It is made of RWL 34, just like the complete full tang, with minimal manufacturing tolerances. This means that the knife can be adapted to your own requirements in the shortest possible time and modified according to the situation. Supplied with a high-quality black leather sheath, which is provided with a sewn-in ulticlip and can be easily attached to the pocket hem thanks to the locking spring clip. The rugged construction of the knife is based on a single steel blank forging, while the outstanding ergonomics of the clever handle scale design have been enthusiastically accepted by legions of hunters. The handle as whole and the surfaces on the parrying element and pommel are more rounded to optimize handling and also to further enhance the elegant visual appeal. In addition, the handle scales are precision-milled to minimize manufacturing tolerances, thus improving component fit and ergonomics to the maximum achievable level. The Böker Plus Urd 2.0 is a solid fixed knife, made to carry around your neck with a sleak kydex sheath. The Urd was designed by Dirk Hofmeister. Remarkable about the Urd is the handle. At first glance it might look a little strange. However, once you hold it you notice how ingenious this design is. Your fingers automatically fall into the grooves of the handle. You place your thumb on top of the blade in the cut-out. The knife will now properly be secured in hand and won't go anywhere. As a result you can safely use the Urd despite its size. The cleaver-style blade of the Urd is made from a 4.7 mm thick piece of D2-steel. A type of tool steel that is similar to stainless steel but can stain during long-term exposure to acids. The handle is made from black G10 and enhanced with a light texture for additional grip. The Urd is a robust neck knife, made to be used.
