Le CPM S35VN est en acier inoxydable en poudre. Il a été développé comme une amélioration du CPMS30V, qui à son tour a été créé spécifiquement comme acier à couteaux. Most noticeably, the handle frame is milled from two solid billets of 6061 aluminum to create the bolster and pommel, which have been given a fine mirror polished finish. The handle also features CNC machined G-10 slabs with a diamond checkering pattern for a good secure grip.
