Unique Böker Kalashnikov Bayonet Damascus folder is equipped with a unique Damascus blade made from the steel of the 6Ch3 and 6Ch4 bayonets according to the GRAU index of the former Soviet Army and decorated with the signature of General Kalashnikov. The stainless Damascus by Chad Nichols consists of 80 layers and is forged by hand in the Virus pattern. It features an unusually intricate pattern that is the result of a very controlled forging process. The blade with the pandur tip adopted from the bayonets is opened with the help of the thumb stud and locked by a sturdy linerlock.
The handle is CNC machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminium and then hardcoat anodized black. The stabilized inlays are made of hornbeam wood, reminiscent of the stock wood of the famous assault rifle, and together form the shape of the forend's distinctive vents. The Russian Amber Shellac colour of the original stocks has been precisely matched. They are also CNC milled from the solid and inserted by hand. All screws and the clip (tip-up/r) are also black anodized. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen. The world-famous 98k carbine was introduced as a standard service rifle by the Wehrmacht, The German Armed Forces in 1935 and remained the most widely used handgun by German soldiers until the end of the Second World War in 1945. The bolt action rifle was based on the Mauser System 98 breech system, which was used with the 98 rifle as the standard weapon of the German Army as early as the First World War.
The Boker 98k-Damascus picks up different design elements of the 98k bayonet and is also equipped with a unique damascus blade made of the Mauser carbine barrel steel. The remarkable damascus is forged for us by Chad Nichols by hand in the Ripple pattern. The unique blade with its pronounced ricasso is opened by nail nick and reliably locked by a stable backlock. Le Böker Tirpitz-Damas Or est un couteau de collection exceptionnel de la maison Böker. Le 1er avril 1939, le Tirpitz, baptisé en l'honneur de l'amiral de la flotte Alfred von Tirpitz, était lancé à Wilhelmshaven. Depuis lors, aucun cuirassé d'une telle envergure n'a été construit en Europe. Aujourd'hui, 80 ans plus tard, Böker présente l'édition spéciale Böker Tirpitz-Damas Or, en hommage aux deux guerres mondiales qui ont ravagé l'Europe occidentale et à la paix et la liberté retrouvées depuis 1945. L'immense cuirassé a coulé en 1944 au large des côtes norvégiennes. Juste après la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, une entreprise norvégienne a dépêché des experts pour récupérer l'épave et mettre l'acier hautement allié à disposition des civils. Böker a reçu des pièces du blindage récupéré du Tirpitz. Son forgeron a travaillé ces fragments d'histoire vivante pour forger un acier exclusif et exceptionnel, chargé d'histoire.
