Barebones è un'azienda fondata nel 2012 da Robert Workman a Salt Lake City (USA). Inizialmente, l'azienda si occupava della creazione di rifugi di emergenza per i bisognosi (rifugi "bare-bone"). Ancora oggi, la peculiarità di Barebones è quella di unire la produzione di prodotti ecologici e accessori da campeggio a una missione sociale.

Il nome Barebones (dall'inglese "bare bones" - letteralmente "ossa nude") richiama anche la semplicità e l'affidabilità: i loro prodotti sono realizzati per durare a lungo, ma allo stesso tempo presentano un design essenziale, senza fronzoli, solo lo "scheletro" di ciò che è realmente necessario. L'azienda rifiuta l'uso della plastica negli imballaggi e sostiene diverse iniziative benefiche, tra cui programmi di volontariato.

Attualmente, Barebones produce pentole in ghisa, utensili da giardino, accessori per barbecue e molto altro. L'azienda si concentra sul "connetto con la natura" offrendo prodotti per il campeggio, il giardinaggio e la cucina a fuoco aperto.
