La conveniencia de este cuchillo de cocina Japones Deba Tojiro Shirogami F-897 tiene un diseño especial.  El cuchillo práctico Deba  es la herramienta perfecta para cortar pescado. Hoy esta herramienta es el mejor cuchillo de pescado que no tiene análogos.  La hoja del cuchillo es ancha, con afilado asimétrico para diestros. El dorso está redondeado para facilitar la presión con la otra mano cuando se trabaja con peces grandes. La herramienta es fácil y agradable de sujetar durante cualquier manipulación, gracias al cómodo mango ergonómico. Este diseño de un cuchillo de pescado especializado le permite hacer todo lo que se necesita solo para ellos: limpiar y cortar, dividir en trozos de diferentes tamaños, separar el filete del hueso. Las hojas de estos cuchillos Tojiro están hechas de acero con alto contenido de carbono, lo que aumenta la resistencia al desgaste de la hoja y mejora la calidad del corte. Sin embargo, el alto contenido de carbono hace que este cuchillo sea susceptible a la corrosión, por lo que siempre mantenga el cuchillo en un lugar limpio y seco, y después de cada uso enjuague el cuchillo con agua tibia y detergente neutro (pH 6.0-8.0) y seque con un paño. Para un almacenamiento a largo plazo, el cuchillo debe estar cubierto con aceite de manzanilla (o ricino). Antes de usar un cuchillo de este tipo, elimine los residuos de aceite con una esponja suave y detergente neutro.
