The blades of Wakiita Series knives are precision ground from CTS-BD1N – a high-carbon, nitrogen-enriched stainless steel that provides a superior balance of hardness, edge holding, and corrosion resistance. Like all knives in the Murray Carter Collection, they are ground exceptionally thin and straight for superior cutting performance. 
In classic style, the knives of the Wakiita Series showcase traditional "wa-style" (octagonal) handles. Painstakingly crafted from solid black G10, a durable fiberglass and epoxy laminate, the polished handles ensure both comfort and precise control.

In addition to being a celebrated and longtime custom knifemaker Frank is a past President of the Knifemaker's Guild, a strong voice in the cutlery world and a revered and respected craftsman. Collaborating on knife designs with him is something Spyderco has been fortunate enough to do several times. Our latest offering is the Centofante 3 gentleman's folder.
The Centofante 3 has a thin-profiled, lightweight FRN handle. Two channels are furrowed out of the handle for better grip and a Palladium silver Spyderco bug is inlayed into its surface. For added security and convenience the back-lock is positioned midway on the spine and David Boye Dent is cut from the locking lever. The VG-10 blade has both a hollow-grind and swedge-grind with non-sharpened spine serrations (jimping) to hold the thumb steady when cutting. A black steel pocket clip positions for tip-up/down, right-hand carry.

Carefully designed to literally split the difference between the best-selling Endura 4 and Delica 4 Lightweights, the Endela faithfully maintains all the highly refined, time-tested features of each, but in the perfect "in-between" size. Its satin finished 3.41" (87 mm) blade is crafted from VG10 stainless steel and proudly features a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole for ambidextrous one-hand opening. 
The Endela's handle features skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within injection-molded FRN scales. The Kapara C241CFP is Spyderco's first collaboration with Australian custom knifemaker Alistair Phillips. The design is based on Phillips' popular Redback folder and, like the term "redback," draws its name from the redback spider (Latrodectus hasseltii), a species of highly venomous spider found throughout Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. The adult female redback has a spherical black body with a prominent red stripe on the upper side of her abdomen. Inspired by this distinctive feature, Phillips' handmade Redback folders showcase a contrasting red backspacer in the handle.
The heart of the Kapara's design is its CPM S30V stainless steel 3.60" blade, which is full-flat ground for truly impressive low-friction edge geometry. Its fully accessible Trademark Round Hole allows convenient one-handed opening with either hand and its drop-point profile gives it both a long, gently curved edge and an acute, utilitarian point.
The handle of the Kapara features full, skeletonized stainless steel liners that form the foundation of its high-strength Compression Lock mechanism. The liners are capped by stunning solid carbon fiber scales that are meticulously 3D machined to give them a subtle radius.

Spyderco a été fondée en 1976 par Sal et Gail Glesser. Ils ont débuté leur activité en vendant leurs produits lors de salons et d'expositions. Le succès est arrivé lorsque les Glesser se sont concentrés sur la production et la vente du premier produit Spyderco lié à la coutellerie : le Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, un affûteur facile d'utilisation capable d'affûter les lames dentelées.
