MF0 Black T Ruvido is a smallest knife from Extrema Ratio MF series. MF stands for Medium Folder: a product line positioning itself between the BF (Basic Folder) and the Heavy Folder lines. MF knives employ the LINER-LOCK mechanism and are distinguished for their sturdiness; all are equipped with a glass-breaker. An innovative supplementary screw can be unlocked to enable fine-tuning of the main screw, adjusting opening speed to taste. Hemispheric milling marks on handles make it easier to change from saber-style to reverse grip. Clips are reversible. Model MF0 is “the little one” amongst MF knives – basically a compact version of the MF1. It retains all the characteristics of MF1 but has a downsized handle and shortened blade, similar to our SHRAPNEL “back-up” knife.

It shares features in common with the standard model in terms of functionality and appearance but differs markedly in the materials used in its construction. It also has the value of being a collectible keepsake in that only 3500 have been produced. Each is individually serial numbered, and each box will be personally signed by Lynn C. Thompson himself! The premium S35VN steel in the blade is a costly powdered steel that is heat treated to Rc 59-60 and sub zero quenched. It has been given an attractive two-tone line grain finish on the blade flats, and a high satin polish on the blade bevels. Most noticeably, the handle frame is milled from two solid billets of 6061 aluminum to create the bolster and pommel, which have been given a fine mirror polished finish. The handle also features CNC machined G-10 slabs with a diamond checkering pattern for a good secure grip.
