Das japanische Unternehmen Mcusta (Marusho Industry Inc.) stellt sehr stilvolle und qualitativ hochwertige taschenmesser her. Die mit Laserpräzision geschnittenen Messer werden von Hand zusammengesetzt. Sie unterscheiden sich durch die Verarbeitung besonderer Holzarten. Beispiele sind Cocobolo- oder Ebenholz. Auch in der Klinge sind nur die besten Materialien verarbeitet: VG10-Stahl oder der optisch ansprechende Damaststahl. Teflon-Gleitscheiben sorgen für einen einwandfreien reibungslosen Gang der Klinge. Reine japanischer Handwerkskunst. Mcusta ('Machine Custom Knives') werden in Seki hergestellt. Schon seit dem 13. Jahrhundert ist diese kleine Stadt das Zentrum der japanischen Messerindustrie.
