During World War I, Robbins Dudley's firm satisfied Tommy's need for easy-to-use melee knives. They made no less than 10 different models and Windlass reproduced 2 of the most popular ones. Designed with ease of manufacture in mind, these knives were purchased privately by individual soldiers. This push dagger was designed to strike from behind with a natural motion (great for unskilled combatants). The blade, made of high carbon steel, is held horizontally in relation to the ground. Includes standard smooth textured leather sheath, sewn with waxed linen thread, with brass hardware.
