Das Küchenmesser hat ein ergonomisches Griffdesign aus Pakkaholz und bietet so beim Schneiden viel Komfort ohne Ermüden. Die Klinge wurde mit dem Honbazuke Abzug geschärft und poliert. Bei diesem traditionellen japanischen Handabzug wird die Klinge in drei Schritten geschärft und poliert, wodurch die Schneide durch ihre feine Oberfläche die hohe Schärfe erhält, für die japanische Messer berühmt sind.
