Frame Lock Navajas

El Frame Lock fue inventado por el diseñador estadounidense Chris Reeve, basándose en el Liner Lock. A diferencia del Liner Lock, que utiliza una placa interna independiente, el Frame Lock utiliza parte del mango metálico como mecanismo de bloqueo. Esto hace que el diseño sea lo más robusto y simple posible.

Debido a que la carga del bloqueo recae sobre el marco principal del mango y no sobre el inserto, el Frame Lock puede soportar cargas más elevadas. No se afloja con el tiempo y es resistente a la suciedad y al polvo. Este bloqueo es especialmente popular en el segmento de cuchillos tácticos y EDC premium. Algunas marcas, como Zero Tolerance, Kizer y WE Knife, suelen utilizar versiones reforzadas del Frame Lock con insertos especiales.
