Frame Lock Klappmesser

Der Frame Lock wurde vom amerikanischen Designer Chris Reeve auf Basis des Liner Lock entwickelt. Im Gegensatz zum Liner Lock, der eine separate Innenplatte verwendet, nutzt der Frame Lock einen Teil des Metallgriffs selbst als Verriegelungsmechanismus. Dies macht das Design so robust und einfach wie möglich.

Da die Belastung des Schlosses auf den Hauptrahmen des Griffs und nicht auf den Einsatz wirkt, hält der Frame Lock höheren Belastungen stand. Er löst sich nicht mit der Zeit und ist unempfindlich gegenüber Schmutz und Staub. Dieser Verschluss ist besonders im Segment der hochwertigen taktischen Messer und EDC-Messer beliebt. Einige Marken wie Zero Tolerance, Kizer und WE Knife verwenden häufig verstärkte Versionen des Frame Lock mit speziellen Einsätzen.
