Spyderco Couteaux Pliants

Spyderco fabrique des couteaux pliants de haute qualité depuis 1978. Les modèles les plus connus sont : Endura, Delica, Para Military, Ladybug et autres. La plus grande partie des couteaux pliants Spyderco possède un trou d'ouverture sur la lame. Les matériaux de poignée les plus couramment utilisés sont le FRN et le G10. Spyderco utilise de nombreux aciers différents pour la fabrication de couteaux. C'était la première entreprise à utiliser de l'acier en poudre pour la production de couteaux pliants. Presque tous les couteaux pliants Spyderco ont un clip de poche.

Le couteau pliant Spyderco Endura 4 Red Line mesure 22,2 cm ouvert, sa lame faisant 9,9 cm de long. En 1990, Spyderco a révolutionné le marché en lançant deux couteaux : le Delica et l'Endura. Premiers du genre, ces deux modèles ont démocratisé l'accès à la coutellerie grâce à des couteaux de poche légers, performants et à ouverture à une main, accessibles à tous. Ils sont rapidement devenus les deux meilleures ventes de Spyderco et leur amélioration n'a cessé depuis. Ce processus d'amélioration continue a été baptisé CQI (Constant Quality Improvement – ​​Amélioration Constante de la Qualité) par Spyderco. Au cours de cette démarche, Spyderco a optimisé l'ergonomie, perfectionné les aciers des lames et peaufiné les performances des Endura et Delica à maintes reprises. Ces couteaux, fruits d'une évolution constante, atteignent leur niveau supérieur avec les nouveaux Endura 4 et Delica 4. Dotés d'une construction à vis, ils facilitent le nettoyage et le réglage.
Les manches en nylon renforcé de fibre de verre sont moulés avec une texture bidirectionnelle pour une meilleure prise en main et une ergonomie améliorée. À l'intérieur du manche, deux platines squelettées en acier inoxydable renforcent la lame sans l'alourdir et servent de point d'ancrage à tous les composants externes et internes, assurant ainsi robustesse et rigidité. Les lames en acier VG-10 sont à émouture plate, avec une pointe renforcée et un trou d'ouverture plus large de 13 mm. Un crantage antidérapant est ajouté au dos de la lame. Des rondelles en bronze phosphoreux fluidifient l'ouverture et la fermeture, et le clip a été amélioré pour une utilisation à quatre positions (pointe vers le haut ou vers le bas, pour gauchers ou droitiers). Entretoise rouge.
Spyderco reversera une partie des ventes des couteaux « Thin Red Line » à la Wildland Firefighter Foundation, qui apporte un soutien financier immédiat et un soutien moral continu, ainsi qu'une représentation et une reconnaissance aux pompiers forestiers décédés ou blessés et à leurs familles.

If you move in custom knife industry circles and/or attend knife shows you will have heard of Frank Centofante. In addition to being a celebrated and longtime custom knifemaker Frank is a past President of the Knifemaker's Guild, a strong voice in the cutlery world and a revered and respected craftsman. Collaborating on knife designs with him is something Spyderco has been fortunate enough to do several times. Our latest offering is the Centofante 3 gentleman's folder.
The Centofante 3 has a thin-profiled, lightweight FRN handle. Two channels are furrowed out of the handle for better grip and a Palladium silver Spyderco bug is inlayed into its surface. For added security and convenience the back-lock is positioned midway on the spine and David Boye Dent is cut from the locking lever. The VG-10 blade has both a hollow-grind and swedge-grind with non-sharpened spine serrations (jimping) to hold the thumb steady when cutting. A black steel pocket clip positions for tip-up/down, right-hand carry.

Carefully designed to literally split the difference between the best-selling Endura 4 and Delica 4 Lightweights, the Endela faithfully maintains all the highly refined, time-tested features of each, but in the perfect "in-between" size. The Kapara C241CFP is Spyderco's first collaboration with Australian custom knifemaker Alistair Phillips. The design is based on Phillips' popular Redback folder and, like the term "redback," draws its name from the redback spider (Latrodectus hasseltii), a species of highly venomous spider found throughout Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. The adult female redback has a spherical black body with a prominent red stripe on the upper side of her abdomen. Inspired by this distinctive feature, Phillips' handmade Redback folders showcase a contrasting red backspacer in the handle.
The heart of the Kapara's design is its CPM S30V stainless steel 3.60" blade, which is full-flat ground for truly impressive low-friction edge geometry. Its fully accessible Trademark Round Hole allows convenient one-handed opening with either hand and its drop-point profile gives it both a long, gently curved edge and an acute, utilitarian point.
