MF knives employ the LINER-LOCK mechanism and are distinguished for their sturdiness; all are equipped with a glass-breaker. An innovative supplementary screw can be unlocked to enable fine-tuning of the main screw, adjusting opening speed to taste. Linerlock ist einer der zuverlässigsten und gebräuchlichsten Schlösser für Klappmesser. Der Linerlock wurde bereits im 19. Jahrhundert erfunden, sein Design wurde jedoch in den 1980er Jahren vom amerikanischen Messermacher und Designer Michael Walker verfeinert. Seit 1990 ist er Inhaber der Marke Linerlock. Der Linerlock verfügt über einen Verriegelungsbügel, der am Erl der Klinge anliegt und so ein Schließen der Klinge verhindert. Klappmesser, die mit einem Liner-Lock ausgestattet sind, lassen sich leicht mit einer Hand öffnen und schließen, ohne die Position des Messers in der Hand zu verändern.
