The Itamae Petty's 116mm blade is made from a triple-layer steel consisting of an Aogami Super Blue core and layers of SUS410 stainless steel. This classic triple-layer construction allows the outer layers to protect and support the center layer of super-hard carbon steel that forms the cutting edge.
