Die Ontario Knife Company (OKC) ist nicht nur für ihre militärischen Einsatzmesser bekannt, sondern auch für ihre hochwertigen Klappmodelle. Diese Messer haben sich dank ihres einfachen, robusten Designs und ihres angemessenen Preises als zuverlässige EDC-Werkzeuge erwiesen.

Die RAT-Serie (Randall’s Adventure & Training) ist zu einer Ikone geworden – die Modelle RAT-1 und RAT-2, hergestellt aus rostfreiem AUS-8-Stahl oder verschleißfestem D2. Der RAT-1 ist ein Kombi in voller Größe, während der RAT-2 die Kompaktversion ist. Beide Modelle verfügen über einen 4-Positionen-Clip, einen ergonomischen Griff mit Fingermulde und einen Liner Lock. Im Jahr 2023 wurde eine limitierte Auflage des RAT-1 RED mit einer S35VN-Klinge und einem G10-Griff herausgebracht.

Nicht weniger interessant sind die Serien Utilitac II und Navigator. Utilitac ist ein taktisches Klappmesser mit einer großen Münze. Die Navigator-Serie ist ein leichtes Klappmesser mit einem Lockback-Verschluss. Bemerkenswert ist auch das Modell Dozier Arrow, das nach dem Entwurf des berühmten Messermachers Bob Dozier hergestellt wurde. Dieses Klappmesser zeichnet sich durch ein schlankes Profil und eine durchdachte Ergonomie aus. In der moderneren Linie der Ontario-Klappmesser ist die XR-Serie hervorzuheben, die mit Schwerpunkt auf dem taktischen Einsatz entwickelt wurde. Diese Messer zeichnen sich durch ihr aggressives Design, den praktischen Clip und die verstärkte Konstruktion aus.

Somit decken Ontario-Klappmesser ein breites Aufgabenspektrum ab – vom alltäglichen Gebrauch bis hin zu rauen Feldbedingungen.
