Extrema Ratio Misericordia Desert conserve toutes les caractéristiques de la célèbre Misericordia, modèle adopté par le 4e Régiment de Parachutistes Alpins, et est dérivé de la dague commémorative réalisée pour le 140e anniversaire du 4e Régiment Alpin et le 70e anniversaire de l'institution des Parachutistes Alpins. La nouvelle coloration désert donne à ce modèle un nouveau ton qui répond le mieux aux besoins des unités opérationnelles les plus modernes. La lame est fraisée en acier Böhler N690, traitée thermiquement à 58 HRC, et mesure 118 mm (4,64”) de long et 4 mm (0,16”) d'épaisseur avec une mouture plate. Le couteau ne pèse que 87 g(3,1 oz).
