The comparatively soft and tough metal is also very strong and durable. Deep jimpings in the well-defined thumb rise aid safe handling. A cleanly latching safety slide against accidental triggering acts as additional security when the knife is closed. The Tanto blade with partial serration is made from the Japan-developed AUS-8 and provided with a dark Stonewash Finish.
