The design of Fox's 40th Anniversary folding knife traces its origins back to one of the first pocket knives they ever produced. Updated as a modern flipper design, the knife features high tech materials and one of the best steels available on the market today, M390 steel. The bronze-finish titanium frame is overlaid with carbon fiber with a Fox Knives logo embedded on the presentation side. The matching finish clip is machined from solid titanium and sports an embedded black zirconium ball bearing for easy pocket extraction. The 3.34" recurve drop point blade is constructed with M390, a third generation powder-metallurgy steel with excellent corrosion resistance and edge holding characteristics. A straight fuller adds visual appeal while adding strength to the blade and an angled plunge line terminating in a sharpening choil eases edge maintenance. The blade locks solidly via a frame lock with an integrated lockbar insert for added longevity. A flipper opens the knife and forms a finger guard when open. Comes with a lined case. This is the first frame lock, in which the frame is made entirely of carbon fiber, with a steel insert on the lock to provide a solid experience. The knife can be opened with either a flipper or a small blade cutout. A ball-bearing pivot ensures smooth and consistent action, making the Suru a joy to open. Small but mighty, the handles are designed to accommodate a variety of grips, bringing the 2.32" clip point blade to bear. The finger guard provided by the flipper provides protection for your fingers, but for even closer work a generous choil in front of the flipper/guard allows you to choke up for more precision. Böhler M390 steel backs up the good looks of the Suru with serious performance, providing some of the best edge retention available in a folding knife, satin coating.
