Böker Plus Dog Tag is a small neck-folder by John Kubasek, who is already known to many as the designer of the successful Credit Card Knife. John Kubasek has now taken the "Backup Knife" topic one step further and presents the 24 gram light-weight Dog Tag Knife. Like its namesake, it is carried around the neck on a ball chain and boasts a thickness of less than 4 mm when retracted (measured without blade pivot point). The chisel grind (single-sided blade grind) provides maximum carrying and operating safety by contacting the titanium liner as closely as possible with the flat backside of the edge. A clever magnetic mechanism also secures the neck knife in the retracted and deployed state; in each case, the action is strictly accomplished with magnetic force, but with a true locking mechanism instead. As a result, accidental deployment is eliminated even when engaged in active/dynamic activities. The back side of the titanium liner is ideally suited for laser engraving of the name, nickname, medical data, etc. Shipped with ball chain and carabiner. Böker Plus Dog Tag folder weighs 24 g.

The thumb stud is added to the handle and also functions as a lock. Really unique! By pushing the thumb stud you can unlock the knife to make sure you can close it. No one has ever done that. And funnily enough it is a type of invention that makes you think: why didn't anyone come up with this before? The blade 75 mm is made from Böhler N690 steel, stonewashed coating. A tough, fine type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen. N690 is also stainless. An excellent combination of desirable factors for an EDC pocket knife. The green handle and backspacer are made from G10. An incredibly strong composite material made from synthetic resin and glass fibres. Incredibly strong and light-weight. G10 can also handle its own.
