The ultra-compact Boker Plus Rescom 2.0 01BO527 is based on the popular Boker Plus Subcom by Chad Los Banos, but unlike the original model, it is supplied with a versatile multi-function blade. The unbroken popularity of this handy rescue tool among professional emergency services and first responders has now prompted to reissue this useful classic from our range in a modernised version. The Boker Plus Rescom 2.0 is supplied with a black-coated D2 rescue blade that combines numerous practical functions and can save lives in an emergency. It is opened with the help of the thumb stud on both sides and securely locked in place by the two-millimetre thick steel plate of the framelock. A pronounced hand guard increases grip comfort and prevents slipping into the blade. The textured handle is made of black Zytel with three-dimensional milling and, thanks to this surface structure, the ergonomic design and jimpings in the area of the thumb rest, always lies securely in the hand, even when wet. With lanyard hole and convertible clip (tip-up/tip-down).

Although the plan was later withdrawn, Spyderco had already risen to the occasion by designing a highly functional non-locking pocketknife that would have conformed with the TSA’s proposed guidelines. That knife is the Roadie.

Spyderco Roadie è un coltello pieghevole unico, creato per un uso quotidiano non minaccioso. La sua storia è legata all'iniziativa della TSA (Transportation Security Administration) negli Stati Uniti, che nel 2013 ha preso in considerazione la possibilità di consentire il trasporto a bordo di piccoli coltelli pieghevoli. Spyderco ha sviluppato Roadie appositamente per questo scopo: compatto, sicuro, con capacità limitate, ma allo stesso tempo perfettamente funzionante. Il coltello è di piccole dimensioni e leggero. La lunghezza della lama è di circa 5,1 cm e la lunghezza totale da aperto è di soli 12,5 cm. La lama è realizzata in acciaio N690Co. La forma della lama è a piede di pecora con una smussatura liscia, che rende il coltello sicuro. Non è presente alcun blocco: si tratta di un giunto scorrevole, un semplice meccanismo di sicurezza. L'impugnatura è realizzata in resistente FRN (nylon rinforzato con fibra di vetro).
