Die KA-BAR Messer sind eine Anschaffung, die Dich durch Dein ganzes Leben begleiten. Die bereits seit 1942 von der US-Armee eingesetzt werden. Die Geschichte der Firma KA-BAR geht aber noch weiter zurück. Im Jahr 1897 gründete eine Gruppe Auswanderer aus Sheffield die „Tidioute Cutlery Company“, die später zur Union Cutlery Co. Wurde. In 1923 erhielt diese Firma ein Dankesschreiben eines Jägers, in dem er sich für die Qualität des Messers bedankte, die ihm dadurch das Leben gerettet hatte. Der Jäger wurde von einem Bären angegriffen, als sein Gewehr versagte. Letztendlich konnte er mit dem erworbenen Messer der Union Cutlery Co. Den Bären töten. Sein Dankesschreiben war jedoch so unleserlich, dass man nicht mehr entziffern konnte als K A und BAR (killed a bear). Ein neuer Name für die Marke war geboren: KA-BAR. Es sind Stück für Stück phantastische Messer.
