In this special variant, the hunting pocket-knife Böker Optima 10067DAM comes with a Damascus blade hand-forged by Chad Nichols with 150 layers in the "Coibelt" pattern, which opens classically by nail nick and is held by a sturdy backlock. The nickel silver handle has scales made of certified imported desert ironwood and rounds off the noble appearance of the knife. To protect it from dirt and scratches, the Böker Optima Desert Ironwood Damascus comes in a classy felt pouch. For years, hunters have appreciated the Boker Optima series as an absolutely practical alternative to fixed hunting knives. It is not just the compact dimensions of a pocket-knife and the possibility of mounting hunting-specific interchangeable blades without tools that have earned the Böker Optima its excellent reputation. The oldest German knife company Böker was founded in the 17th century (Remscheid). Today Böker produces one of the world's best folding knives, outdoor knives, tactical knives and hunting knives. Like the vast majority of late medieval businesses, Böker was a family business founded by the head of the family. The workshop, and a little later a small factory for the production of high-quality blades, was located in the most beautiful corner of Germany - a grove of spreading chestnut trees. This powerful tree became the symbol of the famous German company.
Not all Böker knives are producing in Solingen, Germany. Now the part of the legendary German manufacturer’s capacity has been transferred to Taiwan and China in order to optimize production costs (Böker Plus and Böker Magnum). All Böker factories are equipped with the most advanced equipment, and quality control of manufactured products is carried out centrally and very scrupulously.
