The Hen & Rooster knife brand was founded in 1845 in Solingen, the German "knife capital". Its creator, Carl Bertram, chose the symbol of a rooster and a hen as a sign of reliability and high quality. Hen & Rooster is known primarily for its traditional folding knives made in the style of American and European heritage design with a classic blade shape (clip point, pen, spey, etc.). Today, the brand belongs to the American company Frost Cutlery, but the production traditions and build quality are still preserved.
