Hogue Trauma First Response Tool knife has a textured black G-10 handle and a black blade with a blunt tip. The blade has a black Cerakote coating and the steel is N680 that will prevent the blade from rusting and wearing down. The texture on the handle provides a strong grip so you can rely on this blade in wet or dry conditions. The Trauma First Response is also equipped with a glass breaker pommel and a strap cutter within the handle.
Hogue knives are made in the USA, at their own manufacturing facility in Nevada. The knives are made from premium steels (such as CPM S30V, MagnaCut), and the handles are made from G10, 6061-T6 aluminum, or carbon fiber. Hogue, Inc. began its operations in 1968 as a manufacturer of firearm accessories. The founder, Guy Hogue, was an expert in the field of gun tuning. As the business developed, the company expanded its product line, and in the 2010s, it began actively developing the knife industry, collaborating with legendary designer Allen Elishewitz.
