Already in the old times the shape of KUPILKA 21 was used due to its practicality. We fine-tuned the cup to perfection for you. This cup keeps your hot drink hot without burning your fingers.
The ecological Kupilka dishware can withstand boiling hot water and sub-zero temperatures as cold as -30°C. The dishes can be washed by hand in the wild or in the dishwasher back home. The products are manufactured from biomaterial using EKOenergy, and each item ages beautifully yet keeping its qualities. You can check how fresh the product is from its wooden scent – the stronger the scent, the newer the product! To ensure the longevity of the dishes, we do not recommend putting them in the microwave, stove or open fire. At the end of their life span, the products can be recycled, incinerated for heat energy or returned to the manufacturer for re-use.
Kupilka on tunnettu suomalainen tuotemerkki, joka valmistaa astioita ja asusteita retkeilyyn ja ulkoiluun. Sana Kupilka itsessään tarkoittaa pientä kulhoa pohjoisten kansojen muinaisella kielellä.
Inspiraationa erikoisastioiden luomiseen oli Harakkakuppi-kuppi, jonka mestari Kuisma veisti vuonna 1775 alkoholijuomien maistelua varten. Vuonna 2003 teollinen muotoilija Heikki Koivurova ja mestari Kuisman jälkeläinen esittelivät tuotteen nimeltä Kupilka 21 – Harakkakuppi-mallin pohjalta luodun, mutta erikoismateriaalista valmistetun kupin.
Kupilka-astiat on valmistettu ainutlaatuisesta materiaalista: luonnonmukaisesta puukuidun ja kestomuovin komposiitista. Se koostuu 50 % suomalaisista metsistä peräisin olevasta puusta, joka on sertifioitu PEFC-standardin mukaisesti, ja 50 % turvallisesta, lujuutta antavasta polymeeristä. Tämän ansiosta tuotteet säilyttävät puun rakenteen, mutta ovat kosteudenkestäviä, eivät ime hajuja, eivät halkeile ja kestävät lämpötiloja -30 °C - +100 °C.
Kupilka-astioiden toinen erottuva ominaisuus on, että kaikki tuotteet valmistetaan Suomessa 100 % vihreää energiaa - tuuli- ja aurinkoenergiaa - käyttäen. Kaikki tuotteet ovat kierrätettäviä, ja pakkaukset on valmistettu kierrätysmateriaaleista. Nykyään Kupilkan valikoimaan kuuluu erivärisiä ja -kokoisia kuppeja, retkipakkauksia - lautasia, kulhoja, aterimia. Keräilysarjoja - esimerkiksi Muumi-hahmoilla varustettuja kuppeja tai lahjapakkauksia puisissa laatikoissa.
Kupilka-tuotteet on hyväksytty käytettäväksi elintarviketeollisuudessa ja ne ovat turvallisia käyttää kylmien ja kuumien ruokien kanssa. Huomaa kuitenkin, että Kupilka-astioita ei suositella pitkäaikaiseen säilytykseen. Tämän merkin kupit ja lautaset on helppo pestä jopa kylmässä vedessä vaelluksella tai vain pyyhkiä. Kupilka ei pelkää pakkasta eikä muotoudu auringossa.
