Wood Jewel Kuksa cup "Boy" 1,5 dl. The traditional Sami design that has become a classic outdoor drinking cup for everyone in northern Scandinavia. Kuksa cups are handmade from rare gnarled mountain birch burr mellowed by the Midnight Sun, the Northern Lights and crackling Scandinavian frosts, and are fashioned in accordance with traditional methods. After each use simply rinse your Kuksa cup with clean water. Kuksa cups should not be washed using washing-up liquid or in a dishwasher.

Wood Jewel has found in the beginning of 80`s. Owner and CEO Kauko Raatiniemi started beside of main job. He made at first big items like clocks from goat willow gnarl. Beginning of 90`s Kauko started full.time entrepreneur. First worker came 1995 and today company employs about 20 workers around the year. Main materials are Finnish curly birch, reindeer horn and colored polywood. Wood Jewel has over 1000 different kind of items. But knives are the main product. End of 80`s Kauko made his first knives. Some collector bought all the knives. Beginning of 2000 Kauko`s son Tuomas Raatiniemi started to make knives again. Today Wood Jewel makes about 50 000 knives/year. They pay attention to material of blade, shape of handle and how the knife fit in sheath. Due to the fact that the knives are hand crafted, knives may have differ from the one shown in the photo.
