Los cuchillos plegables Extrema Ratio combinan la fuerza militar con la simplicidad de la funcionalidad civil. Inicialmente, la marca, fundada en 1997 en Italia, desarrollaba cuchillos para fuerzas especiales. Casi todos los cuchillos plegables Extrema Ratio están fabricados con acero Böhler N690 de alta calidad y aluminio anodizado. Algunos modelos utilizan acero M390. Entre las series populares de navajas plegables se encuentran:

- BF (Basic Folder): Cuchillos compactos y ligeros como el BF1 y BF2 son ideales para el uso diario.

- BD2 y BD4 - Navajas tácticas plegables con doble guarda. Las versiones para contratistas cuentan con cuchillas de doble filo.

- MF (Medium Folder): Los modelos MF1 y MF2 están diseñados para tareas tácticas y pueden reemplazar funcionalmente un cuchillo con una hoja fija. Equipado con un rompecristales y un clip reversible.

- MF1 Evo - serie actualizada con Hidden Lock mejorado y hojas fabricadas en acero M390/N690.

- Ant - Cuchillos EDC compactos con hoja de 5 cm, populares para el transporte diario.

- RAO - Cuchillos potentes con un sistema de bloqueo único, diseñados para tareas tácticas pesadas.

Muchas de las series de cuchillos plegables Extrema Ratio cuentan con versiones de rescate especiales diseñadas para su uso en condiciones extremas. Todos los cuchillos están equipados con clips de bolsillo que se pueden mover a un lado conveniente. Extrema Ratio MF0 D Black Rough folder is “the little one” amongst MF knives. Basically it is a compact version of the MF1. It retains all the characteristics of MF1 but has a downsized handle and shortened blade, similar to our SHRAPNEL “back-up” knife. This versione is produced with a rough handle for a better grip. The drop point blade 68 mm is made of Bohler N690 stainless steel (58HRC). Black aluminum handle. 
MF stands for Medium Folder: a product line positioning itself between the BF (Basic Folder) and the Heavy Folder lines. MF knives employ the LINER-LOCK mechanism and are distinguished for their sturdiness; all are equipped with a glass-breaker. An innovative supplementary screw can be unlocked to enable fine-tuning of the main screw, adjusting opening speed to taste. Hemispheric milling marks on handles make it easier to change from saber-style to reverse grip. Clips are reversible. Overall length 181 mm. Weight 139 g. Made in Italy.
