Klappmesser von Extrema Ratio vereinen militärische Stärke mit der Einfachheit ziviler Funktionalität. Zunächst entwickelte die 1997 in Italien gegründete Marke Messer für Spezialeinheiten. Fast alle Klappmesser von Extrema Ratio werden aus hochwertigem Böhler N690-Stahl und eloxiertem Aluminium hergestellt. Einige Modelle verwenden M390-Stahl. Zu den beliebten Serien von Klappmessern gehören

- BF (Basic Folder): Kompakte und leichte Messer wie das BF1 und BF2 sind ideal für den täglichen Gebrauch.

- BD2 und BD4 – taktische Klappmesser mit Doppelschutz. Die Contractor-Versionen verfügen über zweischneidige Klingen.

- MF (Medium Folder): Die Modelle MF1 und MF2 sind für taktische Aufgaben konzipiert und können ein Messer mit fester Klinge funktional ersetzen. Ausgestattet mit einem Glasbrecher und einem Wendeclip.

- MF1 Evo – aktualisierte Serie mit verbessertem Hidden Lock und Klingen aus M390/N690-Stahl.

Aufgaben. Viele Klappmesser der Extrema Ratio-Serie verfügen über spezielle Rettungsversionen, die für den Einsatz unter extremen Bedingungen konzipiert sind. Alle Messer sind mit Taschenclips ausgestattet, die auf eine praktische Seite verschoben werden können. Die meisten Serien umfassen Messer mit Spear Point-, Drop Point- und Sheepfoot-Profilen. Extrema Ratio MF0 D Black Rough folder is “the little one” amongst MF knives. Basically it is a compact version of the MF1. It retains all the characteristics of MF1 but has a downsized handle and shortened blade, similar to our SHRAPNEL “back-up” knife. This versione is produced with a rough handle for a better grip. The drop point blade 68 mm is made of Bohler N690 stainless steel (58HRC). Black aluminum handle. 
MF stands for Medium Folder: a product line positioning itself between the BF (Basic Folder) and the Heavy Folder lines. MF knives employ the LINER-LOCK mechanism and are distinguished for their sturdiness; all are equipped with a glass-breaker. An innovative supplementary screw can be unlocked to enable fine-tuning of the main screw, adjusting opening speed to taste. Hemispheric milling marks on handles make it easier to change from saber-style to reverse grip. Clips are reversible. Overall length 181 mm. Weight 139 g. Made in Italy.
