My Parang makes Malaysian parangs, golokas and other traditional handmade machetes. A parang is a large knife of a special shape, native to Malaysia and Indonesia. It is used as a machete. Golok is a traditional Indonesian national knife, common on the islands of the Pacific region. In the past, it was used by the local population as a weapon, but now it is an agricultural tool used as a machete and is a collector's item for fans of edged weapons. The design of the golok is somewhat similar to the bolo knife common in the Philippines. However, it has a slightly different blade shape and smaller dimensions.
