Description

This very attractive Wood Jewel Inaripuukko 23INARI is a solid all-around camp or utility knife, featuring a shorter, stout carbon steel blade, with additional handle accents from curly birch wood. The sheath is nicely detailed, it contains a plastic liner to prevent the very sharp blade from slicing through, and the belt loop is a twisted leather cord, which allows the knife to swing freely and keep out of the way when you're crouching or sitting.

Wood Jewel is a renowned Finnish knife manufacturer founded in the early 1980s. Owner and CEO Kauko Raatiniemi began creating watches and various wooden accessories. Then, in 1995, his hobby grew into a full-fledged business, and today the company employs about 20 people. Wood Jewel produces a variety of goods, but its most popular product is the traditional Finnish puukko knife. Wood Jewel knives have an authentic look and feature handles made of natural materials such as Karelian birch and reindeer antler. The blades are made of high-carbon steel. In early 2000, Kauko's son, Tuomas Raatiniemi, began making knives. Today, Wood Jewel produces approximately 50,000 knives per year. All knives are equipped with genuine leather sheaths. Due to the handmade nature of the knives, the actual knives may differ from those shown in the photograph. Thanks to their high quality, traditional Finnish design, and affordable prices, Wood Jewel knives are popular in Scandinavia and other countries. Finnish Wood Jewel knives are suitable for everyday use and also make wonderful gifts.
