This new Roselli Heimo 4 Bushcraft R40 edition comes with a strong will to serve. Popular for bushcrafting, hunting, fishing, outdoor life and an ability to take on all outdoor activities and challenges. Carbon steel is sensitive to moisture and corrosive environments. Get into the habit of rinsing your knife in fresh water, drying it fully and oiling your blade regularly. The knife has a stained curly birch handle with brass staples and lanyard hole, which is coated with linseed oil – to ensure a firm grip, even when wet. It comes with innovative handcrafted sheath of dark vegetable tanned Finnish leather, with a metal spring which keeps your knife secured. Each product is unique. Patterns and texture of natural materials can vary. Crafted, sharpened and perfected by hand in Harmoinen, Finland.
Roselli knives are made in Finland under the direction of the company's founder, Heimo Roselli. Heimo began making knives himself simply because he couldn't find the right tool—all the available knives were of insufficient quality. He then made knives for neighbors and friends. Years of experimentation and research have transformed him not only into a true knifemaker but also a master metallurgist. Heimo Roselli's core expertise is his development of Ultra High Carbon (UHC) steel. Its composition and processing process are kept secret. The carbon content of this steel is 1.8-2.0%, providing exceptional hardness. Despite this hardness, the knives remain brittle thanks to a special hardening technology. In addition to UHC steel, Roselli's range includes knives made from regular carbon steel and Damascus steel.
Roselli's product range includes hunting and outdoor knives, as well as a line of kitchen knives. Models like the Hunting Knife are designed for hunting and survival. The Grandfather Knife and Carpenter Knife are considered versatile tools. All knives have a simple, functional design. Roselli knife handles are made from local Karelian birch, which, after impregnation, becomes waterproof and provides a secure grip in any weather. UHC steel models have additional heat treatment on the handles. Each Roselli knife comes in a traditional leather sheath.
