Spyderco Roadie is a unique folding knife created as a non-threatening everyday carry. Its history is connected with the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) initiative in the USA, which in 2013 considered the possibility of allowing small folding knives to be carried on board. Spyderco developed Roadie specifically for this purpose: compact, safe, with limited capabilities, but at the same time fully functional. The knife is small in size and lightweight. The blade length is about 5.1 cm, and the total length when open is only 12.5 cm. The blade is made of N690Co steel. The blade shape is sheepsfoot with a smooth bevel, which makes the knife safe. There is no lock: it is a slipjoint - a simple safe mechanism. The handle is made of durable FRN (fiberglass-reinforced nylon).
