The ultra-compact Boker Plus Rescom 2.0 01BO527 is based on the popular Boker Plus Subcom by Chad Los Banos, but unlike the original model, it is supplied with a versatile multi-function blade. The unbroken popularity of this handy rescue tool among professional emergency services and first responders has now prompted to reissue this useful classic from our range in a modernised version. The Boker Plus Rescom 2.0 is supplied with a black-coated D2 rescue blade that combines numerous practical functions and can save lives in an emergency. It is opened with the help of the thumb stud on both sides and securely locked in place by the two-millimetre thick steel plate of the framelock. A pronounced hand guard increases grip comfort and prevents slipping into the blade. The textured handle is made of black Zytel with three-dimensional milling and, thanks to this surface structure, the ergonomic design and jimpings in the area of the thumb rest, always lies securely in the hand, even when wet. With lanyard hole and convertible clip (tip-up/tip-down).

Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the carry of any type of knife aboard an airplane was strictly prohibited. In early 2013, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced a plan to change U.S. security regulations and once again allow knives on airplanes.
Although the plan was later withdrawn, Spyderco had already risen to the occasion by designing a highly functional non-locking pocketknife that would have conformed with the TSA’s proposed guidelines. That knife is the Roadie.

Spyderco Roadie est un couteau pliant unique, conçu pour un usage quotidien sans danger. Son histoire est liée à l'initiative de la TSA (Transportation Security Administration) aux États-Unis, qui a envisagé en 2013 d'autoriser le transport de petits couteaux pliants à bord. Spyderco a développé le Roadie spécialement à cet effet : compact, sûr, avec des capacités limitées, mais néanmoins parfaitement fonctionnel. Ce couteau est compact et léger. La lame mesure environ 5,1 cm de long et sa longueur totale, une fois ouverte, n'est que de 12,5 cm. La lame est en acier N690Co. Sa forme en pied de mouton avec un biseau lisse assure la sécurité du couteau. Il n'y a pas de verrouillage : il s'agit d'un mécanisme de sécurité simple et coulissant. Le manche est en FRN (nylon renforcé de fibre de verre) résistant.
