CPM-20CV delivers superior hardness and corrosion resistance, along with toughness, wear resistance, and excellent edge retention. The 0462 also features a colored carbon fiber front scale with a deep-red weave of color. The back is titanium with an attractive stonewashed finish. The 0462 locks up securely thanks to a frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert. Like many ZTs, the 0462 opens quickly and easily with the KVT ball-bearing system and a built-in flipper. At a length of 3.35”, this versatile drop point is good for any everyday task. Much like the classics on which it was based, the 575CF opens via a nail nick which helps keep the blade free from obstructions for clean slicing. Meanwhile, the lockback mechanism keeps the knife from closing when you don’t want it to. Users can also take advantage of the lanyard hole. Adding a lanyard or bead can increase the style-factor and make the knife easier to find in your pocket. While it was still a high-end steel several decades ago, 440 is a very decent middle-grade steel today. The blade with black stonewashed coating, made of Bohler N690 steel, is opened with a flipper and secured with a sturdy liner lock. With pocket clip (tip-up). The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Bohler is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas.
