The M-16 series of knives by CRKT was created by the famous designer Kit Carson, a military man both by profession and by mindset. The blade is made of AUS-8 steel, which has good cutting properties and high resistance to corrosion. The LinerLock is made of 420J2 and is equipped with an AutoLAWKS locking safety device. It can be opened either with a pin or a flipper. All M16 models are equipped with a Carson Flipper, which is an excellent assistant in opening the blade with one hand.
