Cold Steel's range of fixed blade knives includes legendary models such as the SRK (Survival Rescue Knife), Recon Tanto, Chaos, Master Hunter, Leatherneck, and many others. Cold Steel often uses high-carbon 1095 steel or high-quality AUS-8A steel, as well as modern powder steels, providing excellent resistance to stress and corrosion.

Cold Steel pays special attention to the design of the handles: materials such as Kray-Ex or G-10 provide a secure grip. Blades are often coated for added protection against rust and glare. Cols Steel Counter Tac I dagger is a handy boot knife with a wicked penetration potential. The blade shape is inspired by ancient Japanese arrows. There are 2 flat ground edges and a slightly concave edge on the back. This configuration allows for intense penetration and a lightweight tool. The Counter TAC boot knives were designed with this simple philosophy in mind. The full tang blades are made from beautifully stonewashed AUS-8 Stainless steel that's vacuum heat treated, and sub-zero quenched for strength. They end in a sturdy but needle sharp point that’s ideal for effortless penetration, and of course the edge is razor sharp. The ergonomic design of the Kray-Ex grip is comfortable and adaptable to any fighting style, and the deeply textured surface and double guard will insure that the knife is not likely to slip from your hand under any circumstances. Fixed blade Knife Cold Steel Bowie Drop Forged 36MK has total length of 35 sm and features a 22 sm blade, it shares many of the same attributes of the other knives in the series, including the same robust construction, being forged as a single piece of steel, giving it a startling amount of strength. But, unlike the other Drop Forged knives, it has distinctive faux stag slabs incorporated into the handle. The blade is flat ground to a moderately thin edge and is then honed to razor sharpness. The point of the blade is acute enough to offer deep penetration, and the balance point is just in front of the guard making it lively in the hand and only slightly blade heavy. Like the other knives in the Drop Forged Series, it comes with a military grade, Secure-Ex™ sheath that includes a detachable Cordura belt loop.

Historically, the Roach-Bellied knife was a short blade with a pronounced upswept curve and a sharp point that saw popularity in 17th century Britain and the American Colonies. It was most likely named after the common Roach Fish, which had a similarly round curving belly. Cold Steels model is a nod to the Black Powder Community, which has continued to appreciate the Roach Bellys economy, versatility and effectiveness. The hollow ground blade is made of sub-zero quenched German 4116 Stainless steel, expertly heat treated to RC 56-57, and given a sharp edge thats easy to maintain. Instead of the traditional wood handle, ours is made of a tough injection molded polymer, making the Roach Belly considerably more weatherproof than historical examples - not swelling, shrinking, rotting or cracking like its wooden counterparts.
