Cols Steel Counter Tac I dagger is a handy boot knife with a wicked penetration potential. The blade shape is inspired by ancient Japanese arrows. There are 2 flat ground edges and a slightly concave edge on the back. This configuration allows for intense penetration and a lightweight tool. The Counter TAC boot knives were designed with this simple philosophy in mind. The full tang blades are made from beautifully stonewashed AUS-8 Stainless steel that's vacuum heat treated, and sub-zero quenched for strength. They end in a sturdy but needle sharp point that’s ideal for effortless penetration, and of course the edge is razor sharp. The ergonomic design of the Kray-Ex grip is comfortable and adaptable to any fighting style, and the deeply textured surface and double guard will insure that the knife is not likely to slip from your hand under any circumstances. Finally, each Counter TAC is shipped with a state of the art Secure-Ex sheath, complete with a removable boot/belt clip and lashing slots so you can carry or conceal it just about anywhere. Fiberglass-reinforced Delrin handle with integrated stainless steel weights, brass cross-guard and 440C blade steel. The blade has on the one side a typical double conical dagger grind and on the other side a hollow grind. Delivery includes a Kydex sheath and a large Tek-Lok. The various versions of the Boker Applegate-Fairbairn have been convincing special forces all over the world for years and have emerged as an icon among tactical knives. The knife goes back to the classic Fairbairn-Sykes dagger from World War II and was designed by Col. Rex Applegate. The elite soldier coordinated secret operations throughout Europe during the war and even became President Franklin D. Roosevelt's personal guard. He trained Allied Special Forces in close combat and founded the "School for Spies and Assassins" in today's Camp David.
