Boker’s reissue of the Applegate-Fairbairn Fighting Knife uses fiberglass-reinforced Delrin handle, thickened in the center for a sure grip. A lanyard hole adds convenience. The handle meets a short, forward-bending cross-guard that protects the fingers. Boker achieved the knife’s preferred rearward balance by inserting steel weights into the handle - a beautifully ergonomic design. The 6" blade on this 10¾" knife has effective reach, with a 1" wide blade that’s beefy all the way to the tip. Struck of Solingen 440C stainless steel hardened to a Rockwell of 58, the blade has the signatures of Rex Applegate and W.E. Fairbairn etched into the bead-blasted finish. Sheathed in Kydex with large Tek-Lok.

There are 2 flat ground edges and a slightly concave edge on the back. This configuration allows for intense penetration and a lightweight tool. The Counter TAC boot knives were designed with this simple philosophy in mind. The full tang blades are made from beautifully stonewashed AUS-8 Stainless steel that's vacuum heat treated, and sub-zero quenched for strength. They end in a sturdy but needle sharp point that’s ideal for effortless penetration, and of course the edge is razor sharp. The ergonomic design of the Kray-Ex grip is comfortable and adaptable to any fighting style, and the deeply textured surface and double guard will insure that the knife is not likely to slip from your hand under any circumstances. It is a fixed-blade knife Extrema Ratio Misericordia Desert meant for those circumstances in which a knife has to be extremely light and compact. Extrema Ratio Misericordia Desert preserves all the characteristics of the famous Misericordia, model adopted by the 4th Alpine Paratrooper Regiment, and is derived from the commemorative dagger made for the 140th anniversary of the 4th Alpine Regiment and the 70th anniversary of the institution of the Alpine Paratroopers. The new desert coloration gives to this model a new tone that best meets the needs of the most modern operative units. The blade is milled in Böhler N690 steel, heat treated to 58 HRC, and is 118 mm (4.64”) long and 4mm (0.16”) thick with a flat grind. The knife weights just 87g (3.1oz). The blade has a spear point profile with a full length fuller that makes it even lighter, and a false double edge for ¾ of its length. The finishing is stone washed. The knife has a polymer grip that flows smoothly into the ring, topped by a skull crusher, that allows the use of martial arts techniques and grants a very solid grip on the knife. It has the classic Extrema Ratio groove near the front allowing a better grip and it is secured to the tang by a screw. The knife is secured to the sheath by a fast release safety that can be easily reversed for left hand use. The highly resistant nylon sheath is also in desert and is very versatile; two adjustable loops allow the user to attach it to M.O.L.L.E. systems, allowing fast extraction in a tactical scenario.

His designs created an excellent reputation in the world of the tactical knives. His custom versions are asked for worldwide and they are hard to get. We are glad, that Bill starts with Boker a new collaboration for our serial production. We begin with a modification of the legendary Applegate-Fairbairn dagger. The Harsey 5.5 is in use with several elite units around the world and it will be paired with modern features into a highly functional knife concept. The blade length offer the perfect compromise between the ability to carry it and utility. The enlarged width and the better geometry of the double edged and finely bead blasted 440-C high performance steel blade improve the cutting abilities. The tang reaches out of the end of the handle and it can be used as a windowbreaker. The CNC machined handles, made of green canvas micarta, are extremely durable and comfortable and these offer even in wet environments a perfect grip. It comes with a premium tactical sheath made by Spec-Ops Brand (USA) in black.
