A machete is a long, broad knife originating from South America. Machetes are most often used as agricultural tools, survival instruments, and helpers on hikes. Different countries have their own versions of these large knives: bolo, kukri, parang, and others. All these types of machetes are designed for heavy-duty work and are ideal for clearing bushes, cutting trails, chopping wood, and other outdoor tasks.
Kukri — a traditional knife of the Gurkha people from Nepal, known for its curved blade with a characteristic concave shape. It features a heavy, thick blade that tapers to a sharp point.
Bolo — a straighter machete from the Philippines. Historically, it was used as an agricultural tool for harvesting rice fields and other plantation work. The bolo features a thick blade with a weighted heel.
Parang — a long machete from Malaysia and Indonesia, originally used in the jungle. The parang blade widens towards the tip, and the handle often has a curved shape.
Our selection includes various types of machetes from well-known manufacturers: Cold Steel, Ka-Bar, Gerber, Condor, and more. Most machetes come with convenient sheaths, making them safe and easy to carry and store. Please note that machetes are not weapons. They are designed solely as tools for work and outdoor activities. They can be used in the garden, on hikes, at a summer house, or in camping. Thanks to their wide blade and sturdy construction, machetes handle tasks where an ordinary knife falls short.
