Fixed blade Knife Böker AK1 Reverse Tanto Black with 7,9cm blade. In this tactical version, the AK1 is equipped with a PVD-coated blade made of powder metallurgical RWL 34, a high-performance stainless steel that is ice-hardened to 61 to 62 HRC. The handle scales are made from G10 with a non-slip peel-ply texture. Supplied with a snug fitting Kydex sheath, which is fitted with a Boker clip.
Böker, Germany's oldest knife company, was founded in the 17th century (Remscheid). Today, Böker produces some of the world's finest folding knives, outdoor knives, tactical knives, and hunting knives. Like the vast majority of businesses in the late Middle Ages, Böker was a family business founded by the head of the family. The workshop, and later a small factory producing high-quality blades, was located in the most beautiful corner of Germany—a grove of spreading chestnut trees in the city of Solingen. This mighty tree has become the symbol of the famous German company.
Solingen is the historical center of the German knife industry, with strict labeling requirements. The "Solingen" designation on a Böker knife signifies that key production stages take place there.
Popular Böker Knives: Scout, Barlow, Applegate-Fairbairn
The Böker Scout is one of the brand's most popular models, a versatile folding knife for everyday use, equipped with a backlock. The Scout is available in a variety of materials and is designed for everyday use.
The Böker Barlow is a pocket knife with a classic design and is one of the most sought-after models among traditional knife enthusiasts. It features a slipjoint lock. The Barlow is also available with various scales and blades made of carbon steel, Damascus, and other steels.
The Böker Applegate-Fairbairn is a series of fixed-blade knives based on a historical fighting knife developed by Colonel Rex Applegate and William Fairbairn during World War II. The Applegate-Fairbairn was created as an improved version of the famous Fairbairn-Sykes dagger, taking into account real-world combat experience and the shortcomings of the original. The Böker Applegate-Fairbairn series includes a classic tactical knife, a boot knife, and variations with different handle materials and finishes.
The Böker Annual Damascus Knife is a collector's series that has been produced since 1980. Each year, a new model is created with a unique design, Damascus steel, and a limited edition.
Not all Böker knives are made in Solingen, Germany. Part of the legendary German manufacturer's production facilities have now been moved to Taiwan and China to optimize production costs (Böker Plus and Böker Magnum).
This division of production allows Böker to serve different market segments.
- Manufaktur Solingen is a production facility in Solingen that produces classic knives with hand-finishing and strict quality control;
- Böker Plus — contemporary models created in collaboration with renowned knife designers (Lucas Burnley, Jesper Voxnæs, and others);
- Magnum by Böker — an affordable range of knives, offering a variety of models without complex technologies or expensive materials, but with excellent functionality.
- Böker Arbolito — a manufacturer of knives in classic Argentine style, located in Buenos Aires.
All Böker factories are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and quality control is centralized and meticulous.
You can find almost the entire range of Böker knives in our store. Some models are available for pre-order. We cannot permanently stock the entire range of Böker knives, but we are authorized to offer their entire selection and accept pre-orders, as we receive orders from them weekly. If the product page doesn't say "In stock," the "Add to Cart" button is yellow and says "Shipping in 15-20 business days." This means the product is available for pre-order. We order the product from the Böker warehouse and ship it to you as soon as we receive it from the manufacturer.
MyGoodKnife is an official Böker dealer.
