Böker Scout Solingen folder was created on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Boker Manufactory. The Mayor of Solingen asked company if they could design a high-quality pocketknife in the city colors. He would like to be able to gift such a knife to guests and dignitaries on special occasions. The Böker company was were honored by the request and it did not take long to select the popular and versatile Boker Scout as the base model.
The colors of the City of Solingen are a deep steel blue and golden yellow. Instead of a sintered nickel silver body, the Scout Solingen is the first to have a body of solid brass, solid-milled using CNC technology. Inspired by the great chestnut tree that once stood in front of the first Boker Tool Manufactory, company decided to use blue stabilized chestnut wood for the handle scales. To emphasize the centuries-old tradition of the City of Blades, Solingen, the blade is made from non-stainless C75 carbon steel and finished with an authentic acid wash. The fully handcrafted knife made by Boker Manufactory Solingen comes with the new version of the historic Boker tree symbol. Weight is 168 g.
