Folder Böker Stockman Plum Wood is a true classic of the Solingen knifeware industry. Stockman Plum is a knife with a carbon blade and handle scales made from domestic plum wood. Older generations in particular rely on the excellent edge retention of the non-stainless blade of carbon steel C75. Moreover, the blades are easy to sharpen. The domestic plum wood used for the handle scales is hard, dense and close-grained with an even texture and striking color spectrum.
The heartwood shows hues of red and purple, which darken over time with UV exposure. Just like the carbon steel blade, which develops a unique patina as it ages, the plum wood is another clear sign that the knife's owner really used it. The fully handcrafted knives made by Böker Manufactory Solingen come with the historic etched blade motif, Böker Treebrand Classic, brass liners and a new version of the historic Boker tree symbol.
The slender Stockman is not just popular in the US market. As a handy slipjoint pocketknife, it is perfectly suitable for everyday use and has been a staple in many generations of trouser and jacket pockets. Böker Stockman Plum Wood pocket knife weighs 60 g.
The oldest German knife company Böker was founded in the 17th century (Remscheid). Today Böker produces one of the world's best folding knives, outdoor knives, tactical knives and hunting knives. Like the vast majority of late medieval businesses, Böker was a family business founded by the head of the family. The workshop, and a little later a small factory for the production of high-quality blades, was located in the most beautiful corner of Germany - a grove of spreading chestnut trees. This powerful tree became the symbol of the famous German company.
Not all Böker knives are producing in Solingen, Germany. Now the part of the legendary German manufacturer’s capacity has been transferred to Taiwan and China in order to optimize production costs (Böker Plus and Böker Magnum). All Böker factories are equipped with the most advanced equipment, and quality control of manufactured products is carried out centrally and very scrupulously.
