Fox Knives Ziggy FX-308 ZW folder is based on a previous collaborative design by Fox and custom knifemaker Jens Anso, but now with a much more straight forward look. The secure grip is supported by the typical milled handle scales. Jens Anso is known for his versatile designs, and the Ziggy is certainly one of them! The blade 80 mm satin coating, made of Bohler N690 steel, is opened with a flipper and secured with a sturdy liner lock. With pocket clip (tip-up).
The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Bohler is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the "Co" stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.
The handle is made og Ziricote wood (alternative spelling: Siricote). This is the common name for Cordia dodecandra, a type of fine wood often used to make exclusive handle scales for knives.
