Wood Jewel is a renowned Finnish knife manufacturer founded in the early 1980s. Owner and CEO Kauko Raatiniemi began creating watches and various wooden accessories. Then, in 1995, his hobby grew into a full-fledged business, and today the company employs about 20 people. Wood Jewel produces a variety of goods, but its most popular product is the traditional Finnish puukko knife. Wood Jewel knives have an authentic look and feature handles made of natural materials such as Karelian birch and reindeer antler. The blades are made of high-carbon steel. In early 2000, Kauko's son, Tuomas Raatiniemi, began making knives. Today, Wood Jewel produces approximately 50,000 knives per year. All knives are equipped with genuine leather sheaths. Due to the handmade nature of the knives, the actual knives may differ from those shown in the photograph.
